Haim Yossef David is an 18th century Sephardic rabbi, kabbalist, Talmudist and decision-maker (Jerusalem, 1724 - Livorno, March 21, 1807).
Rabbinic emissary (shadar) from Palestine to Europe, he founded a Talmudic school in Livorno. Renowned for his scholarship and bibliophilia, he is one of the most prolific authors in rabbinic history.
