In addition to the large amount of text, a multitude of different holographic symbols, such as a Star of David or a Chai, can be prominently displayed. The medallions are optically bonded to a glass crystal to preserve the text for 10,000 years. A bit of history: What is The Zohar?

The Zohar is a collection of Torah commentaries, designed to guide people who have already attained a high spiritual degree on the path to the root (origin) of their souls.

The Zohar contains all the spiritual states people experience as their souls progress. At the end of the process, the souls achieve what kabbalists call "the final repair", the highest degree of spiritual knowledge.
For those without spiritual perception, reading the Zohar is like a compilation of allegories and legends that can be interpreted and perceived differently by each individual, however those with spiritual perception, i.e. Kabbalists, the Zohar is a practical guide to inner actions that he must perform to discover deeper and higher states of perception and sensation.

In the kabbalistic approach, the question of why the Zohar was written is far more important than who wrote it. The purpose of the Zohar is to be a guide for people to reach the origin of their souls.

This path to the origin of the soul consists of 125 stages. Rav Yehuda Ashlag writes that a Kabbalist who has gone through these stages shares the same perceptions as the author of the book, and sees that its author could not be someone other than Rashbi.
