This pendant represents the
Star of David ALEF-BETH in solid silver symbol of Judaism, formed of its two intersecting triangles. All around are engraved the letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
Almighty Shield of King David (Magen David):
In ancient Hebrew (the time of King David), the first name David was composed of three letters "Dalet", "Vav" and "Dalet". In ancient Hebrew, the letter Dalet is actually a triangle. King David used the six-pointed star as his signature (the two triangles in his name). The central letter "Vav" means six - the six-pointed star.
The six branches represent the reign of God over the universe, which protects us in the six directions: North, South, East, West, Above and Below. On the battlefield, King David used this symbol by wearing it on his shield as an omen of God.
In Kabbalah, the two triangles embody the inherent dichotomies of man: good versus evil, spiritual versus physical, etc. The triangle pointing up symbolizes our good deeds, which rise to heaven and animate a flood of goodness flowing back to earth, which is represented by the triangle pointing down.
