Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bézalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Born in Kibbutz Sha'alavim, he grew up in Jerusalem in an Orthodox family but later adopted a more pluralistic approach.
Warm, harmonious colours, as well as a mix of modern and ancient, also characterize Emanuel's work, produced in his personal craft and design studio in Jerusalem.
The main techniques of her craftsmanship include painting on silk, hand embroidery, wild silk appliqué, and painting on wood.
